A Seize Waves Experience

Music &
Mindfulness

Sound reaches the nervous system before language does. This is an invitation to listen differently.

Breathe with the wave · 4 in · 4 out

The untrained mind believes every thought it produces. The trained mind listens — and chooses. The thread of the experience

The Experience

Music as an Instrument for Attention

Music & Mindfulness uses sound as a doorway — slowing the breath to tempo, listening without labeling, and noticing how attention behaves when it's given a single thing to rest on. Whether you're joining us at a future session or beginning on your own, everything below is yours to practice now. Mindfulness isn't emptying the mind. It's training it to stay.

Take-Home Practices

Four Ways to Find the Frequency

Single-Track Listening

5 min · Daily

Choose one piece of music. No skipping, no multitasking, no phone in hand.

  • Follow one instrument or voice from beginning to end.
  • When your mind drifts — and it will — return to the sound without judgment.
  • Each return is one repetition. The returns are the practice.

Breath at Tempo

4 min · Morning

Use the breathing wave at the top of this page, or any slow track around 60 BPM.

  • Inhale for four counts as the wave expands.
  • Exhale for four counts as it settles.
  • Eight rounds. This down-shifts the nervous system before the day makes its demands.

The Sound Scan

3 min · Anywhere

No music required. Wherever you are, close your eyes and listen outward.

  • Name the farthest sound you can hear. Then the closest.
  • Hold all layers at once without preferring any of them.
  • This is presence — attention wide open, judgment switched off.

Evening Wind-Down

10 min · Night

The last sounds of the day set the tone for how the mind closes.

  • One slow, instrumental track — lights low, screens away.
  • Let the day replay without editing it. Observe, don't argue.
  • End with one deliberate exhale longer than the inhale.

Consistency beats intensity. Five minutes of honest attention daily rewires more than an hour once a month. The thread of the practice
